The Louwman museum in Den Haag, the Netherlands, is the world's oldest car musum, and even for the non-car enthusiast is really a site to behold. Almost more an art gallery of the beautiful machines of yester-year. Like a time machine, the museum takes us back to the pioneering days of the automobile, with the torch of innovation passing from France to Germany and Italy, to the United States, and later to the East.
The older cars have great personality and charm that has long outlived their technological lifespan.
The building itself has interesting windows and excellent lighting. There are many artifacts and details such as the 'figure of ecstasy' of Rolls Royce, and posters, paraphernalia and little statues capturing the excitement of a racing machine.
